Like the waves
That kiss your feet and fade
Seeking something to take
Away. Away with them as they pass.

Like the forgotten leaves
That hugged the water as they went
And are now nowhere to be seen.
Vanquished or vanished. None knows.

Like the sun.
Slowly creeping into your body.
No marks left. No overturns.
Just the spurious warm touch.

Like the gentle breeze.
Gentle enough to make you
Believe in fibs.
Believe in tender sweet lies.

The earth makes me question
Our beautiful existence.
Or is it our deadly existence?
None knows. None tries.
